On the left we see three towers of the south wall (from left to right):
  • the Taynitskaya Tower (the Secret Tower) – it was built in 1485 and became the first tower of the current Kremlin; in 1770–1771 the tower was dismantled but in 1783 it was built again;
  • the First Unnamed Tower, it was built in 1480s, dismantled in 1770s and built again in 1780s; in 1812 the tower was blown up by the French, in 1835 it was restored;
  • the Second Unnamed Tower, it was built in 1480s, dismantled in 1770s and built again in 1780s.
The building of the Grand Kremlin Palace is seen behind the towers.

The Petrovskaya Tower of the south wall is located the left of the Second Unnamed Tower.
Most probably the Petrovskaya Tower was built in 1480s; at the Time of Troubles, in 1612, it was destroyed and then restored. In 1780 or in 1781 the tower was dismantled, and built again in 1783. In 1812 the French troops blown the Petrovskaya Tower up, in 1818 it was restored.
Cupolas of cathedrals of the Moscow Kremlin are seen behind the tower: the Cathedral of the Annunciation on the left and the Cathedral of the Archangel on the right.

The Beklemishevskaya Tower is located next to the Petrovskaya Tower, in the corner, at the joints of the south and east walls. It was built in 1487—1488, in 1680 the vosmerik (the octagon storey) and the tented roof were added to the tower.

And on the right we see towers of the east wall:
  • the Konstantino-Yeleninskaya Tower (1480) in the foreground;
  • the Spasskaya Tower with the famous Kremlin Clock (1491) in the background;
  • the Nabatnaya Tower (1495) between the Konstantino-Yeleninskaya and Spasskaya towers;
And also, we can see the tented roof of the little Tsarskaya Tower between the Nabatnaya and Spasskaya towers.
